Belief in god as a father of mankind. Humanity as a manifestation of god maybe?
As jesus was the symbol of god in human form in christianity.
What about the belief in god as a mother and a creator?
Forests animals and all that is alive as a manifestation of mother nature.
Many questions come to mind no doubt and for those to whom the concept is foreign...
You may ask "Why would you make nature the feminine form of god, when nature is so unjust"?
There I reply
"How violent is mother nature even with it´s storms and earthquakes, deadly animals etc when compared to MANKIND"?
Is nature as brutal, violent and unjust as mankind? Nukes, napalm bombs, scud missiles, torture, genocide.
Do you really think so... do you?
Therefore we can see even more clearly that perhaps nature is a kind of manifestation of god not so destructive like man, but as much a miracle as mankind!
Conveniently nature is so called "Mother nature," for this reason exactly.
Nature is fairer despite our perceptions of it being grotesque and merciless.
It is far less cruel than the destructive energies in human beings.
The arguement continues that the destruction of the world at the hand of man is not a manifestation of god but of man himself.(in his natural erroneous state)
Hard to say! We know Jesus brought a message, a possible way of life that involved peace and forgiveness thus avoiding a life of destruction and destroying!
This way of life would save us, as living a life without so much destruction can save you.
Real life or in better words love and creation.
And what is mother nature? could it be summed up as love and creation?
Should the idea of god be purely masculine? Jews, christians and muslems all believe god is a man!
Male in energy and male in vibration, male in the symbols used to represent the religion!
Why didn´t they make god neutral isn´t that what a fair god would be. Or is it infact both genders?
Mother nature which is being denied by the masses with the exception of wicca and mysticism.
Believers in natural spirituality have been burned at the stake or drowned in the past.
Nowadays people with these beliefs are hardly taken seriously. Labels like "hippy" come to mind.
However it doesn´t address the question of god as a father seeming half empty without the concept of mother nature as the female counterpart, which seems to fit so well.
They would make one god however it wouldn´t be a question of dividing the ideal of god, rather Part of the energy is shared in things pertaining to life on earth( e.g mother nature) and the other part to human existance(e.g christ). Not mother nature as a seperate entity but as a genuine part of god!
Buddha and Jesus both made references to nature not seperating nature from god. And rightly so.
However in the modern christian mind like the medievil one, the world of things wild is seen as wild and out of control as if it didn´t have a natural plan and needs taming and cutting back.
To the point people don´t belive the wild to be important! Or even really necessary! Take movies of talking animals that resemble spoilt rich kids for example they go straight to the box office every time.
But we still don´t know how to substitute algae, plankton and the plant life that gives us oxygen.
And the oxygen we do breathe we pay no mind to it. There is truly little concession for nature no wonder it hits us with floods and hurricanes sometimes. We deem nature to be brutal and non intelligent when maybe the contrary could be said.
Some people think of nature as a lion devouring a gazelle, or a spider catching a fly and the imagery horrifies them. Surely the fight to survive must be more noble than the war against a different race of people? Or the war against communism? Or the war for oil in the middle east. When we can say those wars were completely necessary we can almost justify our disgust for spiders and predatory feline!
An earthquake may kill thousands but not quite as many as a nuke can if it lands in a built up city. If the blast doesn´t kill you the next six years of radiation will.
Starting to get the point? The human race is more diabolical than nature could ever be!
So the reasons we had for denying nature in the past no longer count these days. Celebrating nature is not an offence they can burn you to death for anymore.
Yet the vanguard toward healing the earth where necessary and finding a balance is very small, between greenpeace and the wildlife federation there´s not really enough.
Maybe the main reason governments and conglomerate corporation boards sentence the world to a slow death. Is one: That economic stability now comes mainly from nonrenewable and destructive industrial and agricultural endeavours. And two: whomsoever withdrawls from these crimes against nature could lose their fortune just for some other unscrupulous company owner to pickup where he left off.
In the past it was witch hunting as man associated himself as if he were directly with god. Woman couldn´t vote let alone share their political opinion. To make matters worse woman were incharge of taking care of their children with limited resources before penicilin! And when they went out to pick some wild herbs for a tea or an ointment they could as soon be called a witch and burn for it. Connections with nature were prohibited by the church clergy no doubt. Nature indicated a bond between the woman as a giver of life and the forest as a giver of life. A connection that lives on in wicca.
This connection scared the shit out of the church and so much so they were willing to go into drastic actions to burn those woman at the stake.
Even nowadays we call ourselves civilized but the majority of people wouldn´t regard what happened in the past as crime against humanity. As if real satanic witches ever existed in such a number to practise burnings once a month or more?
Most people just think of it as a product of that era. Fear of the light is as strong as fear of the dark!
